Images of the month

Koltur Island is the second smallest island in the Faroe Islands after Litla Dímun. There are plans to establish Koltur as the first nature reserve and science research station in the Faroese, focusing on cultural heritage, biodiversity monitoring and nature restoration. The goal with the new park, is also to preserve and restore two old settlements, with traditional stone houses, which date back to around 1400, when Koltur was first settled.
